next day--------------------

Lancelot sat next to the still sleeping Sonic just waiting. Sonic started opening his eyes. Lancelot looked over at him. Sonic looked up at Shadow. His eyes were half open.
"Wh-Where are we?" Sonic whispered.
"Your safe."
"Thank you for saving me." Sonic said, giving a tired smile.
"Sure." Lancelot said. Sonic still had his eyes half opened.
"How are you doing?"
"Just... tired."
"You should get some more rest." Lancelot said still not looking at him.
"Alright." Sonic said as he fell asleep again.
"How is he?" Morgause asked.
"He just fell asleep again, but other then exaustion he seems fine."
"That's good." Morgause said. 'Poor guy. He's been through a lot.' Morgause thought, feeling bad for Sonic. Lancelot looked at Sonic one last time, then he stood.
"Are you going somewhere?" Morgause asked.
".... I have to report back to the king..."
"Huh? Wh-What? Y-Your not seriouse are you?"
"I have to, it's my duty..."
"Don't you know what you are risking if you go back?"
"Of course I know..."
"Then you know banishment may not be the only thing you are risking."
"I'm risking death... I know alright... just make sure you protect him." Lancelot said. Morgause sighed.
"I will." she said. Lancelot nodded and started back to the castle. Morgause sighed again and looked back at Sonic.

Kay sighed.
"I can't believe Lancelot did that." Kay said.
"He's a traitor"
"So do we tell the king?" Galahad asked.
"We have to, we don't and we'll be punished too." Percival said.
"Right." Galahad said.
"Now the matter of.. who tells him?" Gawain said
"Uhhhh... Sorry I'm not doing that. I'm not telling him." Kay said.
"Not!" Tristan, Percival, and Gawain said. Lamorak looked at Galahad.
"Wha- oh no! Not!"
"Oh come on! Why me!?" Galahad yelled.
"Sorry Galahad. To slow." Kay said. Tristan smirked,
"Good luck."
"We better get back to the castle." Kay said.
"Right." Percival said.

at the castle------------------

Scourge looked up at the castle
"Well good luck Galahad. We'll wait out here." Kay said.
"Why don't you all come in." Morgan said.
"Oh, Lady Morgan." Kay said as she turned around. Tristan turned to her and bowed
"The king wants to see you all. He want's your report on the blue hedgehog." Morgan said.
"We never reported to the king about how the blue hedgehog got away, twice. Did we?" Kay whispered to the other Knights. Everyone shook their heads.
"Oh boy..." Kay whispered.
"Please. Come in." Morgan said as she opened the door. Galahad and Kay walked in. Percival, Lamorak, Tristan, and Gawain followed her in. Morgan led them into the throne room. Mordred looked at them,
"About time you came back with a report."
"We are sorry. We had a bit of trouble." Kay said as she and Galahad bowed.
"Trouble? He didn't even have a sword, what kind of trouble could you have had?"
"It was Lancelot. He... betraited us. He saved the blue hedgehog." Galahad said. Mordred stood, rage in his eyes,
"What!?" he yelled. Tristan took a step forwards.
"We can go after him if you so wish my king."
"And then may be we can get him to tell us where the blue hedgehog is." Kay said.
"Do so and don't fail me again."
"We will not." Galahad said. Mordred sat back down attempting to calm himself.

"So... Where should we look first?" Kay asked. Lancelot was just walking up to the castle then. 'Wow that was quick.' Kay thought. Lancelot looked at them disapprovingly. 'Why does Lancelot look mad at us?... Oh wait, he told us not to go near the castle... Right...' Kay thought. Tristan drew his sword,
"There you are traiter."
"Where is the blue hedgehog?" Galahad asked as he drew his sword as well.
"Gone." Lancelot said plainly 'Can we trust what he just said?' Kay thought. Lancelot walked past them, Tristan grabbed his arm.
"Oh no you don't, your going straight to the king and admitting what you did!"
'He's still hiding that blue hedgehog. I got to go look around for that hedgehog later.' Kay thought.
Percival grabbed his other arm
"Come on!" she said. Lancelot followed with no fight, looking down as he went. 'Strange. He's not fighting.' Kay thought. Tristan pulled him into the castle
"You are all back quick." Morgan said. Lancelot kept his head down
"I'm sure the king would like to hear about your betraial." Morgan said. Lancelot looked away slightly. Tristan smirked,
"I agree."
"Come." Morgan said as she walked twords the throne room. Tristan and Percival dragged Lancelot to Mordred. Lancelot continued to walk with them, fearing what would happen.
"Mordred, the Knights are back with Lancelot." Morgan said as she entered the throne room. Mordred stood,
"Lancelot!" Mordred yelled. Lancelot looked up at him
"How dare you go against my order let alone save someone who wants to kill me!" Morderd yelled. Lancelot hung his head,
"Forgive m-"
"What you did was unforgiveable! And you know what the penelty is for the unforgiveable." Mordred said in a dark tone. Lancelot looked up at him scared. Mordred sat back down,
"Death." he said plainly. 'Lancelot looks really scared. I feel bad for him.' Kay thought.

few hours later-----------

Lancelot was sitting in the dungeon.. waiting for the time..

"Tristan?" Kay asked as she walked up to Tristan. Tristan looked at her,
"Yes?"
"Do you want to help me find that blue hedgehog?" Kay asked. Why am I asking Tristan to help me!? Kay thought.
"Sure."
"Alright. Let's go." Kay said. 'Man-oh-man it will be hard to keep up with this guy.' Kay thought. Tristan went out of the castle.
"Wait, you wanna wait till after Lancelot's exacution?" he smirked
"No. The sooner we find this hedgehog, the better." Kay said. Tristan pouted,
"Fine."
"I think we should go see the Lady of the Lake first." Kay suggested.
"Good idea."
"Then let's go!" Kay said as she flapped her ears and started flying off. Tristan followed close behind. After a few minutes, they made it.
"Here we are." Kay said. Tristan nodded and went up to the lake. Kay followed Tristan. Her eyes roaming around, as if looking for someone. Tristan looked around. Tristan caught Soinc's scent and went after him. Sonic was still sleeping. Tristan went up to him and smirked,
"Easy prey." Tristan said. Sonic opened his eyes a little. But he didn't see Tristan. Tristan drew his sword ready to kill Sonic.
"Oh Tristan." Morgause said in a sing-song voice as she stood behind him with Nimue. Morgause smacked Tristan with her staff, Nimue hit him with her hammer. Then Kay kicked him in the back of his head. Tristan took every one of the blows and fell to the floor passed out.
"Wh-What just happened?" Sonic asked.
"Tristan was about to kill you." Morgause said.
"And why did you help?" Nimue asked Kay. Kay giggled nervously.
"Uh. I came to tell you that Lancelot's going to be exacuted and I need your help to save him." Kay said.
"What!?" Sonic shoted, surprised.
"So your against the king too?"  Morgause asked.
"Yeah." Kay said.
"You better hurry. Who knows when the exacution is." Nimue said.
"What about Tristan?" Morgause asked.
"I'll keep him like that. Don't worry." Nimue said.
"Here." Kay said as she gave Sonic a sword.
"Your going to need it. You didn't expect to save Lancelot without a sword did you?" Kay asked.
"We'll work on how to use that sword on the way there." Morgause said.
"Let's go!" Kay yelled as she ran off as Sonic and Morgause followed behind.

back at the castle----------------

Lancelot sat in the dungeon, soon he heard footsteps and they stopped at his cell
"It's time."
Lancelot looked up at them. He stood and walked up to them. The executioners lead Lancelot to where the execution was to be. Lancelot looked at the gallows and gulped. The executioners lead Lancelot up to the top of the gallows. One executioner tied Lancelot's hands behind his back and the other executioner tied the rope around his neck. Lancelot felt the rope be tightened and held back real tears. He looked straight ahead and faced his death with honor. The executioner walked over to the lever, ready to pull it. Lancelot closed his eyes, the last thing that came to his thoughts... was Sonic. The executioner pulled the lever. The trap door came out from under Lancelot's feet. His neck was being squezed by his own weight. His neck was burning and he made a terrible gagging noise. His eyes watered and he began to see stars.
